What He Said!

So we are going to do something that I should have done a long long time ago!

Over the next couple of weeks, we are going to interview Jesus and a few eyewitnesses and see what they have to say. I am very excited about this series to be able to ask the questions that were asked and hear what they saw. You might be wondering, how can we interview them? My goal is to examine individuals (sometimes Jesus Himself) at key moments and ask the questions about what they were saying. We are going to let their words speak to us. This should be a remarkable time throughout Scripture.

This series will make us bounce around; we will have to travel through several books, decades, and even centuries to find our witnesses. But over the next couple of weeks, I want to go over these with you. I believe this series is important because of what Paul said to the Corinthian church. He was reminding them of eyewitness accounts. Only Christianity has this! Paul states in 1 Corinthians 15:1-6 “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.”

I am so excited to do this series with you. Please pray as we go about preparing for this adventure and see what the Lord has to reveal to you and me.
