Summer Prayer Fest

This summer has officially begun, and we want to encourage you to do something rather remarkable with us! We want to do a Summer Prayer Fest! This summer, we plan on spending a few minutes every day praying on a specific topic, and we want you to be a part of it!

Each week we will bring a topic that we will be asking all of our incredible readers to pray for! We will still continue to do posts on other topics, but on Mondays, you will see at the very bottom of the post the topic we will be each individually spending a special moment to pray about and a Bible verse that will correlate with it.

Week one!

Proverbs 2:1-4 “My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, 2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, [And] apply your heart to understanding; 3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment, [And] lift up your voice for understanding, 4 If you seek her as silver, And search for her as [for] hidden treasures.”

We will be praying that the Lord will put the desire of His Word in our hearts and that we would seek it this summer as silver and hidden treasures. We will pray for discernment and lift our voices together, asking for His understanding.

I am excited to do this with you. When brothers and sisters in Christ know that we are praying together, it can bring comfort in ways that we cannot receive on our own. God is good, and His Word is alive, and our prayers are a soothing aroma before the Lord God. Revelation 8:3-4 “Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer [it] with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.” What an incredible honor it is for us to have our prayers before Him. Let’s take this summer to focus and reflect on His Word and craft them into prayers glorifying God together.
