Elections?

Prayer Warriors! This one is for you.

In the next several weeks, the world will hold elections in Israel, the United States, Brazil, New Zealand, and other countries. The question is: how will born-again believers vote? Today, we are asking you to pray for fellow believers that they have the wisdom, the courage, and the capability to vote in a manner worthy of the Glory of God. Ask the Lord to guide them on how to vote and to encourage others to vote Biblically.

Each nation faces the same issue, just under a different cover. Will Christians be the Salt and the Light as we are called to be? Jesus said in Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 “Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all [who are] in the house. 16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” In the book of 2 Thessalonians, we see that the Christians are identified as the resistance against the spirit of Antichrist that is already at work. 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 “And indeed you know that he will be restrained by us for now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of the lawless one began to appear long ago. His work has ceased. We, the restrainer, will continue to restrain until the Highway is taken from the midst. 8 Then the lawless one will be revealed, who, will be killed by the Lord Jesus with the breath of His lips and will be destroyed by the light from His face.” The Church is called to be known by our actions. Elections must be part of this! Vote and pray! If you are not in one of these nations, pray for those believers in those nations. Remember that the Lord is in control, and yet He uses the body of Christ as ambassadors to this world. 2 Corinthians 5:20 “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore [you] on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”
